Kathy Roberts Forde is Professor of Journalism and Associate Dean of Equity & Inclusion at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is co-editor of the new book Journalism and Jim Crow: White Supremacy and the Black Struggle for a New America (University of Illinois Press). Her book Literary Journalism on Trial: Masson v. New Yorker and the First Amendment won the Frank Luther Mott/KTA and AEJMC History Book Awards. She is twice a winner of the AEJMC Covert Award for best article in media history.
