A Gallery Talk on May 12, by Matthew Collins and James Yamada (Senior Creative Technologist, Certain Measures), will focus on a digital art installation in the Fogg’s Lightbox Gallery, entitled “Re-Visions of Hell: Early Printed Illustrations of Dante’s Inferno." Co-created by Collins and Yamada, this installation features high resolution images of early modern Commedia illustrations from volumes in Harvard’s Houghton Library. A previously unknown audio recording by Robert Pinksy of his translation of Inferno accompanies digital manipulations of these images. This installation will open on Friday, April 27 and continue through Sunday, May 13.
