Houghton-Medieval Studies lecture and workshops in early book history will feature Julian Weiss from King's College London. Julian's lecture (In the Tracks of Josephus: Reading Jewish History and Belief in the Early Modern Hispanic and Lusophone Worlds, 1492-1687) will take place at Houghton (Edison & Newman Room) at 5:30 on Monday 20 March. He'll also be leading two workshops at the Houghton that Thursday (23 March, 10 am and 2 pm) on "Creating Vernacular 'Literature' in Renaissance Spain and Portugal", which will allow participants to get up close and personal with a number of Houghton's Iberian manuscripts and early books.
