Part of the Poetry Room's Typewriter Talk series, this presentation by WPR Creative Fellow Jonah Mixon-Webster (author of StereoTYPE, Penguin, 2021) explores the racialized implications of mass textual (re)production and the methods by which typographical designs enact authoritative forms to codify the linguistic and visual structures of race, class, and a subjecthood haunted by the parallel technology of slavery.
