Join Houghton Library as we virtually host Part 3 of the Emily Dickinson Museum Poetry Marathon, which runs September 20–26. Produced by the Emily Dickinson Museum as part of the (remote) Tell It Slant Poetry Festival, the marathon is a group reading of all 1,789 poems by Emily Dickinson. Participants read from Ralph Franklin’s The Poems of Emily Dickinson: Reading Edition (no copy required; text is displayed on the screen). Houghton Library is home to manuscripts for more than 1,000 of these poems.

This year's virtual Marathon falls across seven two-hour sessions hosted by Festival partners. Readers and listeners may choose to participate in one or all sessions but must register in advance. Reading slots are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Register to join Houghton on Wednesday, September 22nd!

The Tell It Slant Poetry Festival is a free event that celebrates the poetic legacy of Emily Dickinson and the contemporary creativity she inspires.
