Demonstration on Fiber Identification (workshop, connected to the panel discussion "Interesting Stuff" at 1:30pm
Date and Time
Location
There are a very limited number of spots available for a demonstration on fiber identification before the panel discussion "Interesting Stuff!" at 1:30 on the same day. At the Weissman Preservation Center, Debora Mayer and Kelli Piotrowski will guide us through the process of looking at papers with the emphasis on the plant sources they are made from. Participants will be able to handle different types of papers, examine paper surfaces and see images of fibers taken with optical microscopy. They will also share the process of Identifying paper fibers with microscopy. Please fill out this form if you are interested in attending the demonstration. It will run from 10-11.30 am on 30 September.
