Your friendly neighborhood Harvard Library conservation professionals know that you are juggling a lot right now, including how to discuss physical library materials over digital platforms. We have compiled guidelines for careful handling of collection material while engaged in remote consultations. For example, if you are discussing use of collection materials in a class, or showing your Preservation Liaison an item’s condition, we can help you be prepared to show the material safely and confidently in a virtual format.

During this live session, Harvard Preservation Services staff will be on hand to discuss these guidelines and show some examples, take your questions  and discuss topics submitted ahead of time (please feel free to submit your questions via this google form).

If you can’t make the live event, all is not lost: We are planning a write-up of the discussion on the Preservation Services blog. We will also post a few of the highlights to our social media pages: @harvardpreservation. To request accessibility accommodations, please contact preserve_wpc@harvard.edu in advance of the session.
