It was organized and run by papermaker Jacques Bréjoux, paper conservator and researcher Thea Burns, master dyer Philippe Chazelle, paper conservator Leila Sauvage and book conservator Nadine Dumain. During the workshop participants made off-white paper, made blue paper via three methods (rag coloring, pulp dyeing and sheet coating), and made natural dyes including Indigo and Woad. Participants also sized paper with gelatin and hung paper to dry in the paper loft and got an opportunity to look at historic papers as a group. Participant Penley Knipe will share key takeaways.

Sign up if you are not on staff at Harvard Library.
