The \[ Past, Present, and \] Future of Email Archiving at Harvard Library

 **Thursday, February 18th, 2021**

 **3:00-3:45 PM**

 **Zoom Details**

Email is a critical record of the digital age, capturing personal, business, and government correspondence - and documenting these interactions down to the second. Harvard Library has been an active participant in the email archiving community since 2009, when the Email Archiving System (EAS) was developed as a local solution for processing and preserving these records.

Join us for a virtual presentation on the past, present, and future of email archiving at Harvard Library. **Tricia Patterson**, Digital Preservation Analyst, will provide an overview of Harvard's accomplishments in this area over the past decade and present a roadmap for the coming years. **Stephen Abrams**, Head of Digital Preservation, will introduce an exciting collaboration designed to advance capacity for this work at Harvard and beyond.
