Started in an apartment at the Monument in Jamaica Plain in 1992, type and design has been the focus of my interest and energy for three decades. Heavily invested in heavy metal, work is designed and printed using one of the largest collections of vintage foundry and wood type in New England. All type is set by hand, or on the Linotype, and printed with restored mid-century presses and equipment. Folks come to interrobang for typographically savvy design using the original metal versions of some of the 20th century’s great typefaces & ornament. Much of the material I work with has never been digitized, or is unavailable anywhere else. This is real letterpress.
