  Sort    Sort    Sort    Libraries have embarked on a powerful period of reinvention and experimentation -- in new as well as renovated buildings, in public as well as academic libraries. William Rawn Associates, collaborating with the Cities of Boston and Cambridge on five buildings, has been re-imagining libraries as active, welcoming and memorable places at the heart of their learning communities -- places where people want to be. Anchoring this decade of experimentation, the Cambridge Public Library on Broadway and the Boston Public Library’s Johnson Building on Boylston Street offer a range of experiments in porosity and programming that can inform future libraries, whether on campuses or in cities.  
  
Faculty and students, staff and administrators are all affected by the evolution of the library. We invite all Harvard community members to participate.
